Tonight was the night that we all have been waiting for (referring to the Edmonton-based metalhead double true followers… huh, guess that’s just me). Thrash metal legends, Megadeth, finally return to Edmonton after thirteen whole months, this time with Slayer! Trust me when I say it was well worth the wait.
Embarrassingly enough, I used to be hardcore at the Guitar Hero video games. But I really am thankful for it because I wouldn’t have found my love for the instrument itself without the game (due to the soundtrack, NOT the gameplay). I think it’s wonderful that the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series have been exposing the world to a selection of stellar tunes. And people love it! My only problem is that people can’t drop that plastic guitar-toy for one minute and think about why they love the music.
