So the DT posters know that Kanye West posts generate a lot of hits, so for all you people who are reading this who are looking for the newest Kanye style/song/eccentricity, you’ve come to the wrong place. Alas, I have unearthed what Kanye is now dating (note the use of “what”). Man or woman? Hot or not? Chemo? Hairless? Bald?

Amber Rose.
You decide.

and just in case you were wondering, no, this is not becoming the newest Perez Hilton. I also would have posted other pictures of her, but other DT members probably wouldn’t approve……just google her.

…Well the Flash game, anyways.

This basically describes the game

Justice has stolen all of Daft Punk’s samples! The balance of power in the French house music world depends on you, as you have to find all the samples. The game is a platformer. You know, like Mario. You play as either Bangalter or Guy Manuel, not sure which one. All I know is this game is sweet. Also, I’m really bad at platformers. And Vanessa Carlton is sweet.

Ok the game sucks, but it’s still sweet.

Check it out here.

UPDATE: Just try and beat my high score. 35500, 3 lives. I took a screenshot as proof but I stuck it after the jump. Don’t want to show off too much on the front page.

Premiering today, YouTube called for amateur and professional musicians to submit videos of themselves playing a piece composed by Tan Dun. Then, a panel of judges picked their favourites, and this was the creation. A mashup of musicians playing in a symphony. I think it’s pretty incredible..

It goes on, and on, and on… It’s Heaven and Hell! This is no new band; it is the legendary Black Sabbath/Dio combo! However, The Devil You Know is the first album released under this name (I think the name of this album plays on that fact).  The album release date is set as April 28, 2009, but I (as well as many others) managed to get an early listen. And although it’s been awhile since the boys have been in the studio together, I can assure you that they’re back and bringin’ the heavy!

DJ AM (aka Adam Goldstein), formerly of Crazy Town fame, just dropped some free mix cd’s available for download, via Twitter. See? It pays off to be cool and trendy and be on twitter. Anyways, there are 4 mixes, each with about 75 minutes of stuff. It really ranges, from Radiohead to Royksopp, and even Swedish indie-pop sensation, Lykke Li, Feist, and MSTRKRFT. Everything a music enthusiast could ask for is in this at some point.

Anyways, here’s the download link! Just be glad he’s still alive after that plane crash, and can still mix.

cudi1

By now, most people have heard of Kid Cudi (rhymes with muddy not moody). I didn’t start out as a fan of Cudi, but now I can’t stop listening to the Crookers’ remix of Day ‘N’ Nite. From Ohio, the hip hop artist first caught the eye of industry members with his free download mixtape A Kid Named Cudi (2008). Kanye West heard the collection and after a quick series of events, the Kid signed with Kanye’s GOOD Music Label (Getting Out Our Dreams). Kid Cudi was featured on Yeezy’s latest album, 808’s and Heartbreak, and the rest took care of itself from that point.

Wolfmother (who you all know for songs like Woman, Joker and the Thief, and Dimension), have returned to record a new album, following their internationally acclaimed self-titled debut album. The album itself isn’t finished yet, but they’re returning to L.A. to work on it with producer Alan Moulder.

Anyways, the new track is titled Back Round, and it’s got the all-too recognizable voice of Andrew Stockdale waling on top of heavy guitars and drums. To download, they’re encouraging that you donate to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal…so why not?

Here’s the website/track. Enjoy.

Queensrÿche‘s 10th studio album (if I recall correctly) is to be released on March 31, but I managed to get an early listen of it. American Soldier is a concept album; an album in which every song contributes to an overall idea (in this case, it’s likely something to do with war… probably). This collection of songs does just as the album cover suggests and puts you, the listener, in the boots of an American soldier.
